FORCE OF NATURE

Through the thick forest foliage we spotted Latourell Falls cascading down boulders as tall as skyscrapers. Unexpected, powerful and completely majestic - this was truly a force of nature. Unlike Multnomah falls, there were no guardrails or restricted pathways and you could go all the way down to the bottom and get so close that the mist completely envelops you. I could feel the force radiating off of the falls and standing next to it made me feel so infinitesimally small. What I love most about traveling are moments like this. We hadn't planned on stopping here and if we hadn't looked over and seen the falls as it flashed for a split second outside our car window, we never would have ventured down to it.
